The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is this week, with an announcement set for Wednesday at 2pm. The FOMC last increased interest by 1/4% point, and late last year signaled the willingness to be patient in implementing further increases in 2019. Since then, US economic growth, as well as global, and China global growth has shown gradual weakness. It is highly likely that the FOMC will NOT raise interest this meeting, but leave the door open to future rate increases depending on economic conditions.
